ALL IN ONE PAGE vol. 11

4/21/22

Have you ever taken massive action, and started reaping the rewards soon thereafter?
In January of this year, I took a “Leap of Faith” by departing my hometown and moving nearly 2000 miles across the country to a state in which I knew absolutely nobody. As I drove through the Mojave desert on my way here, I was listening to a bunch of songs that I’d never heard before.
I’d been sent a playlist full of a type of music that I don’t usually listen to, but I took a chance and pressed play. Suddenly I was completely in the moment. Driving along, feeling totally free. Listening to the drums and the guitars – along with the stories, the emotions, the love, and the heartbreak.
Always soak in those moments when you feel truly free. There’s no better activity on a hot & sunny day than to be hopping in the car and just start driving for as long and for as far as I feel like. I spend a few minutes in the driveway in order to curate the perfect queue of my favorite songs. Sunglasses on, gas tank full, water bottle full as well. Start rolling. Turn the music up. You know the vibes. Windows down, music bumping – “being *that* guy”. It’s my life, live with it. Screaming down the highway, attitude dependent on the music. No particular destination in mind. Just pure bliss.
Ever since I’ve moved, there’s been quite an enlightening change in my perspective about the world and life. I have never felt so grounded and in tune with myself and my purpose and mission in life. To Love, to Grow, to Create, and to WIN. Part of this has been a further shift in how I view failure. Let me tell you, the one and the only solution to failure is to just try again. I used to think that failing was a sign that I sucked.
Nope, not continuing to try is what really sucks. When you fail, say:
“It was a valiant effort, an opportunity to learn, and a reason to try again.”
Take what you learned, and lean into what feels optimistic, good, and worthwhile. In life, there’s moments when you have a choice. You can try something new and different and take a risk, or you can stay in your comfort zone and wonder “what if” forever. There are times when those risks will lead to failure, and there’s other times when they pay off. Throw yourself into the fire and ruthlessly question your own beliefs and habits in the pursuit of growth, happiness, love, and success.
Now here’s a challenge for you: GO DO SOMETHING BOLD.
P.S. My last All In One Page was published just over 1 year ago. The timing of this is not entirely lost on me, but it also wasn’t necessarily intentional. It’s one of those things that just kind of happened. It’s funny, as the last one was written after a long hiatus. For a long while, it hasn’t felt like the right time. But now, its time to take another Leap of Faith.
I’ve done a tremendous amount of personal writing and journaling that will never ever be shared. Through that, I have developed a more clear picture of my future and how I plan to go forward.
Simply just sharing things that I find to be interesting and searching for truth in all things as well.
I’m excited for the future and I am looking forward for whatever God throws at me. LFG.
